37 Years of Authentic Flavors
SpiceYard was born from a simple dream — to serve authentic South Indian food that tastes like home. In 1987, our founder Mr. Rajan started with a small tiffin stall near Salem bus stand, serving crispy dosas and frothy filter coffee to morning commuters.
Today, we're Salem's most loved restaurant with 200+ seats, serving 2,000+ happy customers every day. Our Chettinad specialties and signature biryani have put us on the culinary map of Tamil Nadu.

With 25+ years mastering Chettinad, Kongunadu, and South Indian cuisines, Chef Murugan is the soul of SpiceYard. Trained in Karaikudi and Chennai, he brings authentic village flavors to every dish.
His signature Salem Special Chicken Biryani and Mutton Chukka have won multiple awards and earned a loyal following across Tamil Nadu.

The Beginning

Started as a small tiffin stall near Salem bus stand by our founder Mr. Rajan, serving just dosa, idli, and filter coffee.
First Restaurant

Moved to Cherry Road with 30 seats. Introduced the legendary Chettinad menu and became famous for biryani.
AC Dining Hall
